Tom Ford Refuses To Dress Melania, President Trump Makes 1 Phone Call And Gets Revenge

After Tom Ford stated that he would refuse to dress the First Lady, President Trump gave his response.

The fashion designer revealed to Elle magazine that he believed that it would be inappropriate to dress the then incoming first lady, Melania Trump.

At the time he said : “Whoever is the president, or the first lady, should be wearing clothes at a price point that are accessible to most Americans, and wearing clothes made in America.” Adding “my clothes are made in Italy, they’re very, very expensive. I don’t think most women or men in our country can relate to that, and I think the first lady or the president should represent all people.”

In an appearance on ABC’s “The View”, back in November 2016, Ford made these comments again and also said that Melania didn’t “fit his image”.

Ford, who gave his vote to the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the 2016 elections  said “I was asked to dress her quite a few years ago and I declined. She’s not necessarily my image.”

The President denied the claims that Melania had asked Ford to dress her, in an interview on “Fox & Friends” on January 18, when he said his wife “doesn’t like” his designs.

According to the Daily Mil, the President said  “Tom Ford is an example. ‘I will not dress the first lady.’ He was never asked to dress — and Steve Wynn just called me and he said he thought it was so terrible what Tom Ford said, that he threw his clothing out of his Las Vegas hotel.”

Trump’s claim was confirmed by Wynn Las Vegas in a statement, saying: “Wynn Las Vegas confirms it removed the Tom Ford line of cosmetics and sunglasses from the resort this past weekend.”

The luxury resort doesn’t include a Tom Ford store and doesn’t sell his designs. Nevertheless, many readers were eager to have the new First Lady in the White House.

One Daily Mail reader left a comment saying “Melania is beautiful, classy and elegant. What a lovely First Lady she will make. I can’t wait!” and another one added “Wow! Compare the First Lady to the incoming First Lady and well……there really is a dazzling difference. Melania is simply stunning!”
