The former Fox News host, one and only Bill O’Reilly, made a rare public appearance this week at a New York Mets game. This is his first major public appearance after the sexual harassment claims scandal from several women hit the media big time, and eventually led to his firing from the network.
O’Reilly, 67, posted a picture flashing a smile at the game along with his ex-colleague Geraldo Rivera, this Monday, and he even posed for photos with fans at CitiField.
The legendary host has been keeping his low profile in check since the he was dropped from the network back in April, after it emerged that he, along with the Fox News network paid out around $13 million to quash harassment suits from five women.
Rivera posted the picture on his Twitter on Monday, and in the description he wrote ‘Let’s go Mets’.
In his time away from the spotlight, O’Reilly has been working on his rebooted No Spin News podcast, and in the first eposide of his podcast, he stated that he was ‘surprised’ to have been let go from the network, saying:
‘I am sad that I’m not on television anymore. I was very surprised how it all turned out. I can’t say a lot, because there’s much stuff going on right now.
‘But I can tell you that I’m very confident the truth will come out, and when it does, I don’t know if you’re going to be surprised – but I think you’re going to be shaken, as I am. There’s a lot of stuff involved here.’
We too hope that the truth will come out and this legend of a man will turn out to be innocent, until then, let’s show him that he has our support!
